Transition to a net-zero economy
Addressing climate change
The effects of climate change are mounting so rapidly that they could soon overwhelm the ability of mankind to adapt to it. We are already facing a rise in sea level and more extreme weather conditions. In the Netherlands, summers are hotter, the soil is dryer and rainfall is more extreme.
The world, united in the Paris Climate Agreement needs to keep global warming below 1,5 ° Celsius. However, the current predictions show that we are not on track to meet these targets unless rapid actions are undertaken to reduce CO2 emissions.
This is why the time to act is now.
